Last updated 5 November 2026
If you opt in to text messages, see section 12, Mobile and SMS messaging. This policy explains what personal information Disttal Pty Ltd ("Disttal", "we", "us") collects through disttal.com, why we collect it, who sees it, and the choices you have. Disttal provides white-label software development and dedicated tech teams to agencies and software houses. If you have any question about this policy, write to info@disttal.com.
1. What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us through our forms, plus basic technical information that every website server records.
- Booking a call: your name, email address, phone number, the date, time and time zone you request, and anything you write to us.
- Registering as tech talent: your name, email, phone, country and city; your professional headline, specialisation and experience; skills and technologies; work history, education, certifications, projects and publications; availability and expectations; links to your online profiles; references; and the documents you upload, such as a CV or cover letter.
- Registering as an employer: your contact details, your organisation and role, your project description, budget range and timing, and any documents you choose to upload, such as a brief, a company profile or an NDA.
- Job applications: your contact details, your CV and any attachment, your links, your answers to screening questions, expected salary and notice period.
- Emails and messages you send us.
- Technical information: our servers record standard details such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time. We use this to keep the site secure, to limit abuse such as automated form spam, and to fix problems.
2. Cookies and tracking
disttal.com does not set cookies for visitors, and we do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies or trackers. Our own team uses a secure sign-in cookie in the private admin area, which visitors never see. If this changes, we will update this page first.
Our pages load the Outfit font from Google Fonts. When your browser requests it, Google receives your IP address and browser details, as it does for any site that uses its fonts.
3. How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange the call you asked for.
- To assess your registration or job application and contact you about it.
- To match tech talent with opportunities, and to match employers with suitable engineers and teams.
- To run, secure and improve the website, and to protect it against abuse.
- To meet legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these ways:
- Tech talent profiles may be shared with prospective client partners, under a non-disclosure agreement, to match you with opportunities. This is what you agree to when you tick the consent box on the registration form.
- Employer details may be shared with matched engineers, under a non-disclosure agreement, so they can understand your request.
- Job applications are not shared with our clients. They are seen only by the people at Disttal who handle recruitment.
- Service providers who help us run the site, such as our hosting provider and the email service that delivers notifications to us. They may process data only to provide those services.
- Authorities or advisers when the law requires it, or to protect our rights.
5. Where your information is stored
Our website and database run on servers located in the United States. If you are in another country, your information will be transferred to and stored there. We protect it with the safeguards described below, and we handle it according to this policy wherever it is stored.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it for, for example while your registration or application is active, or while we are dealing with your enquiry. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.
7. How we protect it
- Pages and forms use encrypted connections (HTTPS).
- Uploaded documents are checked for safe file types and stored privately, and are only available to authorised people at Disttal after they sign in.
- The administration area requires a strong password, limits repeated sign-in attempts and records what changes are made.
- Our database is not reachable from the internet, and the site runs with the minimum permissions it needs.
No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your information safe and we review our measures regularly.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date;
- ask us to delete your information;
- withdraw your consent, for example to your profile being shared, or object to how we use your information.
To use any of these rights, email info@disttal.com from the address you used with us. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we aim to reply within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the privacy regulator in your country.
9. Children
Our website and services are for businesses and working professionals. They are not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Links to other websites
Our pages and articles sometimes link to other websites, including our social media profiles and the sites of partners. We are not responsible for how those sites handle information, so please read their policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make an important change, we will make it visible on this website.
